Blofield Community Centre Garden

Blofield Community Centre Garden

We undertook this project at Blofield Community Centre on behalf of Norfolk Homes. The project involved completely renewing the garden of the Community Centre. The garden consisted of overgrown grass and didn’t look like it had much use. The idea was to renovate this area so that the space could be taken advantage of and not go to waste. Urban Forestry love these type of projects because it allows us to completely transform a once unused space into a beautiful garden area that can be enjoyed and appreciated.

Before

To begin transforming this area, we excavated the ground to the rear of the community centre. This is so we could start laying paving to the rear of the building to create a lovely patio area and walkway to the car park. We then supplied and installed sleepers to the sides of the patio area and walkway in order to make some raised flower beds. Then we planted these beds and covered them in slate mulch to give the beds a very clean looking finish. To the side of the walkway down to the car park, we supplied and installed a post and rope fence as well as a brick walled planting bed. We also supplied and installed trellis panels to the bottom of the garden as well as re-turfing it. To finish the garden off, we also supplied and installed furnishings such as a picnic bench, masonry BBQ and a bee & bug hotel.

The end result of this Community Centre garden is wonderful and is a complete transformation from what was there originally.
